ELIGIBLE:  Men amateur golfers with an established World Handicap System (WHS) index and 6-month Lowest Handicap Index of 2.9 or better as of July 11^th, 2022, OR who have played high school or collegiate golf within the past two years.

REGISTRATION PROCESS & KEY DATES:

    March 15:  Registration opens

    July 11:  Registration closes at 11:59 PM

    July 12:  Preliminary Pairings posted on Festival website by 6:00 PM; Late Registration opens if event field isn't full

    July 15:  Late Registration closes at 11:59 PM

    July 16:  Final Pairings posted on tournament portal by 6:00 PM

FORMAT:  Qualifying will consist of 18 holes of stroke play. A minimum of 6 players from the field will be guaranteed a spot in the amateur field of the Long Beach Open, to be held August 4–7, 2022 at Skylinks and El Dorado Park Golf Courses. One alternate will also be determined through qualifying play. Additional qualifying spots may become available, depending on the status of qualifiers from other Festival championships. In case of ties for the final spot(s), a sudden-death playoff will be held immediately following regulation play to determine both the qualifiers and the alternate. 

NOTE: If a qualifier needs to withdraw before the Long Beach Open, he must notify the tournament office immediately in order to allow the alternate to replace him. Failure to do so may result in non-acceptance into future Long Beach Golf Festival events.

PAIRINGS & TEE TIMES:  Tee times will begin at 7:00 AM.

REFUND:  If a player has entered the Long Beach Open Qualifier and subsequently qualifies for the Long Beach Open by winning the Match Play or Men's City Championship, his entry fee into this Qualifier will be refunded, and the Withdrawal service charge will be waived.
