Late entries will be accepted online only and placed on the wait list.

 

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to men amateur golfers who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Possess an established World Handicap System (WHS) Index with a 6-month Low Handicap Index of 2.9 or better as of July 1, 2026; OR
  • Have competed in high school or collegiate golf within the past two (2) years

REGISTRATION PROCESS & KEY DATES:

• February 2:  Registration opens Register/Results

• July 27: Registration closes (11:59 PM)

• July 29: Preliminary Pairings posted on the Festival website by 6:00 PM

• July 31: Final Pairings posted on the Tournament Portal by 6:00 PM

• August 3: Qualifying Round

FORMAT:  18 holes of stroke play. A minimum of three (3) players will earn spots in the amateur field of the 2026 Long Beach Open (August 6th – August 9th at El Dorado Park). One (1) alternate will also be determined. Additional qualifying positions may become available depending on outcomes from other Long Beach Golf Festival championships

Ties for the final qualifying or alternate positions will be decided by a sudden-death playoff, held immediately following completion of regulation play.

Important: If a qualified player must withdraw from the Long Beach Open, he must notify the tournament office immediately so the alternate may be advanced. Failure to do so may affect eligibility for future Long Beach Golf Festival events.

PAIRINGS & TEE TIMES:  Tee times will begin at 7:00 AM. Pairings will be posted according to the schedule above

REFUND: If a player enters this Amateur Qualifier and later qualifies for the Long Beach Open by winning the Match Play Championship or Men’s City Championship, his qualifier entry fee will be fully refunded, and the withdrawal service charge will be waived.
